With back-to-school season in full swing right now, many people are already heading back to their college dorm rooms, myself included. If you also live in a dorm room, you’ll know that we don’t actually have a kitchen included. And, if we’re being honest, the cafeteria food literally sucks.
When I say this, I don’t mean that it’s not edible because it is. But, more often than not, it’s not really that great. For about 3 months into my freshman year in college, I only ate cafeteria food and oftentimes just ended up not eating at all. I did go out to eat a lot but I was just wasting money at that point and it’s not the healthiest either.
Then I discovered mug meals. They are literally a godsend and almost anything can be made in a mug. You only need a microwave and a mug, both of which you probably already have in your dorm room. If you don’t own a mug or don’t want to use it, you can also make these in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave meals are especially great if you don’t have the energy to cook an extravagant dinner or want to save some extra cash.
Most of these recipes can be made in less than 10 minutes and are made with very simple and easy-to-find ingredients. I’ve gathered over 25 microwave mug meals that will soon become your go-to’s. These recipes are insanely good, easy to make, and take very little effort. Without further ado, let’s take a look!
