HALLOWEEN DORM DOOR DECORATIONS
1. LET’S PLAY TAG
This door is simply amazing. Pretty much almost everyone has seen the movie “IT” right? Well, why not decorate your door with that movie in mind? You can write the words in white or get stickers from Amazon and just stick it on there.
Use command hooks to make sure the hoodie and pants don’t fall. You can also stuff them with feathers to make them look more realistic. Add a red balloon and print out a picture of Pennywise under the sewer to complete the look.
2. CAUTION DOOR
If you are looking for something simple that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to recreate, this is the one for you! Buy caution tape (you can get them on Amazon) and put it on the door like above.
Add some extra spookiness by incorporating spider webs, large spiders, and a few skeletons on the door and the floor.
3. KEEP OUT DOOR
Got some cardboard lying around? Make use of them and recreate this incredible door. You can just use the cardboard that you have from the packages you probably ordered, cut them up into rectangles, and make sure to write “KEEP OUT” on one of them.
Secure them on the door with different angles. Add some spiders and spider webs to complete the look.
4. NO ONE LEAVES
This is honestly one of the easiest Halloween dorm door decorations on this list. You’ll just need fake blood and large construction paper. Secure the construction paper using tape and write “NO ONE LEAVES” using the fake blood.
Then dab your entire hand in the fake blood to make bloody handprints on the door. You can also get your friends involved in this as well.
5. HOCUS POCUS
This is for all the Hocus Pocus fans. This door is super creative but honestly doesn’t take much effort to recreate. Buy some brick wallpaper from Amazon and stick that on first.
Then, cut up some construction paper to make it look like above. Make the witch’s cauldron out of a black trash bag and some cotton balls (dye them red). Make sure you write ” It’s just a bunch of hocus pocus” and add some bats for extra spookiness.
You can also add a Hocus Pocus spell book which you can get from Amazon along with a few other decorations you like.
6.HAPPY HALLOWEEN
If you want something that is super simple and very easy to recreate, then this is a great option. Create a “Happy Halloween” garland using colorful letters, bats, and string.
Then add some spider webs all over the door along with some pumpkin stickers and faux spiders for the finishing touch.
7. MUMMY DOOR
How insanely cute is this door idea? This mummy door can be easily recreated using white streamers or toilet paper. However, in my opinion, white streamers are a bit more sturdy and resilient than toilet paper. But you should definitely use what you like.
Then add a couple of googly eyes along with some spiders and spider webs. You can also write down your name and your roommate’s name on mini pumpkin paper for more personalization.
8. COME HANG WITH US
If you want your door to stand out, add some color to it. For example, purple. It’s an amazing choice of color and not too bright that it takes away from the decorations.
Then, draw some spider webs on the construction paper and add some faux spiders as well. Write “Come hang with us” on the top with a bright color and ensure it’s big enough for people to read it.
9. MONSTER DOOR
We’ve got another super cool dorm door idea that can be recreated with ease. First, you’ll need some cardboard. Cut them up into rectangular pieces and add some shadows by bending them and shading them with a pencil (this is to make them look like wood).
Make sure to add a few circles on the cardboard to make it look like nails. Then just cover your door with black construction paper, add a couple of googly eyes, and green wax hands to make the perfect monster.
You can buy the wax hand or make it yourself, it just depends on your preference.
10. BE AFRAID
This is actually very funny to me and I don’t even know why. But, if you want some that can be done in less than 30 minutes, this is the one for you. Buy the “enter if you dare” caution tape from Amazon and place that on your door atop of the black construction paper.
Then, you can either cut up letters using red paper or hand write them yourself to make up “be afraid, be very afraid”. Add a few skeleton printouts for the finishing touches.
11. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK
This dorm door idea is insanely easy to recreate. All you need are construction paper, glitter wrapping paper, some scissors, and a bit of your time.
First, make outlines of your hands on black construction paper, then make lines on brown construction paper to make it appear as though it is wood. Use glitter wrapping paper to create the snake by cutting out circles and layering it.
All that’s left is the skull which you can recreate with white paper.
12. SKELETON DOOR
If you didn’t know already, skeletons are one of the main decor items for Halloween and you WILL be seeing them everywhere. So, why not take this popular decor idea and incorporate it into your dorm door?
Just make a cut out of a skeleton and add some spider webs, spiders, and R.I.P. signs for the finishing touch. This is both simple and cute, which I love!
13. ALL OUT DORM DOOR
Here is another super creepy skeleton door idea. Cover your door with black construction paper first and then secure the skeletons in place. Add some spider webs, caution tape, and of course spiders to complete the look.
14. SPIDERS EVERYWHERE
Want something that’s festive but not too over the top? How about this amazing dorm door idea with a lot of spiders? You can easily and effortlessly recreate this look with some fake spiders, spider webs, and fairy lights to add the perfect amount of illumination.
15. LET’S GET PUMPED
This dorm door can work for both fall and Halloween. Grab some orange construction paper and cover your door with it.
Cut out the letters to create “Happy Halloween, Let’s get pumped”. Then add some leaves and pumpkins to finish the look.
16. DIY DORM DOOR
Don’t have a lot of money to spend on Halloween decorations? No problem there, you can just use orange paper plates to DIY a super cute door. Draw scary faces on the paper plates and make some cut-outs of ghosts as well using white construction paper.
Then just secure everything on top of an orange and black wallpaper.
17. TRICK OR TREAT
As a college student myself, we tend to be quite busy. So, if you don’t have the time to go all out on your Halloween decorations this year, don’t worry because I’ve got you covered.
First, buy a trick-or-treat garland from Amazon and hang that up on the top. Then, all that’s left to do is add some spiders and ghosts to finish the look.
18. CREEPY DORM DOOR
If you want to create something that is acutely super creepy, then this door idea is just what you need. I would literally scream and run away terrified if I saw this door at night.
19. SIMPLE HALLOWEEN DOOR
Here is another super simple Halloween dorm door decor idea you can recreate in less than 30 minutes. Just stick on letters to make up the words Happy Halloween then, add fairy lights and spiders for the final touch.
20. SHE MY LIL’ BOO
We’ve all heard the song and love it! So why not incorporate some of the lyrics onto your dorm door? You can also add pictures or quotes that go along with your major/career choice. Add some bats and spiderwebs to create a spooky-cute door.
21. SCARY HALLOWEEN DOOR
Ok, this is insanely creepy. The head sticking out is giving me goosebumps right now. To recreate this door, first wrap it with white streamers or toilet paper, then add the floating head along with the hands.
Then just add the finishing touches with the caution tape, spiders, and bats.
22. CAUTION DANGER
Last but not least, we have this super spooky dorm door idea. You can recreate this with toilet paper rolls, R.I.P. signs, spiderwebs, and spiders, and add a black crow for the finishing touch.
This door idea will definitely garner quite a few compliments.
