February 14th is almost here! I know it’s still months and months away but it doesn’t hurt to get a head start on things. I don’t know about you, but I am an insanely huge fan of Valentine’s Day. I love all the sweets, the flowers, and the fun activities that come along with the holiday.
You don’t need to be in a relationship to celebrate the most romantic time of the year. Throw a party for you and all of your friends and have the most fun you’ve ever had! My friends and I usually host a Galentine’s Day gathering but it’s along the same lines as this.
If you need some help brainstorming ideas for your party, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve gathered 31 insanely cute and fun Valentines party ideas all of your guests will love. From stunning centerpieces to photo backdrops, and fun games, your Valentine’s Day party is sure to be eventful.
A few things to think about for your party to make sure it’s going to be unforgettable are the theme, food options, and entertainment. For V-day, the most common theme is either pink or red but you can of course go with another color entirely. For food options, again I suggest going with pink or red colored items and heart-shaped foods as well.
Lastly, for entertainment, I suggest coming up with fun games. You can also just watch a movie or host a picnic outdoors. Now, let’s get started!

VALENTINES PARTY IDEAS
1. BREAK MY HEART
If you’re looking for an engaging and fun game idea for both kids and adults, this is the one for you. You’ll need to fill up plastic cups with some sweet treats or some other items as the “prize”.
Cover the cups with red tissue paper and glue them on a board. Now each person will take turns punching the cup they want and get to keep the prize.
2. KISSING BOOTH
Fill up a large jar with Hershey’s Kisses and create a little station by the entrance with a sign that says “kissing booth” and instructions on what to do.
Have the guests guess how many kisses are in the jar. Whoever gets closest wins.
3. VALENTINE’S WALL
How fun is this? Have guests write down what they love, love quotes, or even some advice on post-it notes. After they are done, tell them to stick it to the Valentine’s wall.
If you want to make this even more Valentine’s theme, you can use red or pink heart-shaped post-it notes. Once the entire wall is filled, you can take a picture and have it framed.
This is a great way to remember the unforgettable party!
4. VALENTINE’S CHARCUTERIE BOARD
This is making my mouth water just by looking at it, haha! One of the best ways to “entertain” or serve some delicious treats is by creating a charcuterie board.
Not only is it super fun to make, but guests can also serve themselves and take whatever they want, AND it doubles as a stunning centerpiece.
For Valentine’s Day, you’ll want to include lots of red and pink foods. Think of things such as strawberries, pink pretzels, M&M’s, chocolates, raspberries, watermelon, red or pink cake pops, and of course some Nutella.
5. VALENTINE’S SALAD
I know a lot of people hate on salads but I think they’re delicious. If you and your friends also love salads, definitely recreate this idea.
Get all the stuff you would typically put in your salad ready. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. Now for the fun part, cut the cheese into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
You can arrange the salad like above and alternate between each ingredient or, you can mix it up how you usually would.
Either way, the heart-shaped cheese is a great way to add a little extra oomph to your food.
6. DECORATE WITH LETTER PLATES
One of the simplest ways to decorate your Valentine’s party is by incorporating letter plates. You’ll need four plates with the letters L, O, V, and E to spell out love.
Next, fill up each letter with different sweet treats. Make sure they are either pink or red for the Valentine’s theme. A few options to consider are red Hershey’s Kisses, cupcakes with pink or red frosting, and strawberries.
It serves as both a decoration for your party and a self-serve snack station for your guests.
7. TAKE POLAROID PICTURES
No party is truly complete without snapping at least a few cute pictures, right?
You can use a Polaroid camera to take gorgeous pictures of you and your friends, the food, and obviously when you’re playing all the fun games.
Another great way to snap a lot of pictures throughout your party is through disposable cameras. Have each guest pick one up when they enter, and they can take pictures throughout the night.
You can have these made later and make duplicates for your friends as well.
8. TINSEL AND HEART BALLOONS BACK DROP
Every cute picture needs an even cuter backdrop. To recreate this one, you’ll need a tinsel backdrop (you can find them on Amazon) and some red or pink heart balloons.
Blow up the balloons and hang everything up to the desired wall and start snapping some out-of-this-world cute pics.
9. FRUIT KABOBS
You can never go wrong with serving some delicious fruits at your party. But why not give them a little glow-up and turn them into fruit kabobs?
All you need are some red fruits and long wooden skewers. A few options to include are strawberries, watermelon, and raspberries.
Just slide each one through the skewer and make sure to alternate between each fruit to make it look more aesthetic.
10. MIMIOSA BAR
Mimosas are a hit at any party. Create a cute little mimosa bar with different juices and champagne.
If you want to take this bar to the next level, you can put out pink flutes and dip them in some red and pink sparkles.
11. HEART BALLOONS BACKDROP
Here is another super simple and cute photo backdrop idea. Blow up different colored heart balloons and attach them to the wall using double-sided tape.
You can also leave some on the floor as props and add a little bit of tinsels as well. Now gather your besties and take some HOT pics!
12. BALLOONS AND STREAMERS BACKDROP
Nothing says it’s Valentine’s Day than a gorgeous red and pink theme backdrop. You’ll need streamers and lots of balloons to recreate this idea.
You can also have your guests wear matching outfits to make the pictures even cuter.
13. CANDY HEART BOUQUET
If you’re looking for a cute yet simple DIY Valentine’s centerpiece idea, this is a great one. You’ll need two vases, candy hearts, some roses, and a pink ribbon.
You can place this on the dining table, coffee table, or even the entrance. Here is the full tutorial.
14. VALENTINES DAY CENTERPIECE
How insanely cute is this? Grab a cylinder vase and fill it up with red and pink glitter foam balls. Then grab a few glitter heart picks and stick them inside as well.
It’s Valentine’s Day so there could never be enough cuteness. Buy a small teddy bear and place everything on a tray. You can use this centerpiece idea for any space in your home.
15. OUTDOORS PICNIC PARTY
I am a sucker for picnics. I think they are super fun and great for an intimate gathering. If you’re planning to host a party that consists of less than 10 people, I highly recommend you have a picnic party.
You can set up a cute backdrop to take pictures in front of and set up a picnic table with adorable decorations and lots of good food.
It’ll still be a little chilly in February so make sure you dress accordingly.
16. VALENTINE’S TABLESCAPE
Planning on serving dinner at your party? If so, having a stunning tablescape is a must. You can start off with red plates/trays and layer a couple of smaller plates on top.
Pink or red table runners will look gorgeous along with vases of roses along the length of the table.
If you want to be extra, you can incorporate red or pink napkins, glassware, and candles for a little something fancy.
17. FLOATING MAILBOX
You cannot tell me this floating mailbox does not look out-of-this-world fantastic. This will definitely garner the attention of every single guest at your party.
To recreate this, you’ll need a white candle pedestal, a faux mailbox, glitter foam hearts, a tray, and a hot glue gun.
To begin this DIY, you’ll want to first glue the mailbox on the pedestal. Then glue that down on the tray.
Start hot gluing the foam hearts one by one from the tray and work your way up to the mailbox. This will require some patience but it’s worth it. You can take a look at the tutorial here.
18. VALENTINE’S TIERED TRAY
Tiered trays are always a great party decoration for literally any season or holiday. For V-Day, incorporate decor that is mostly red and pink.
You can mix in some white and add some faux greenery to brighten things up. Once the party is over, you can easily switch out the decorations to fit your home aesthetic.
You can take a look at Etsy or Amazon for the wooden decorations.

20. PAINT CANDLES
You can do this beforehand and display it at your party or, paint it with your guests as a fun activity.
I suggest you buy candle wax dyes from Amazon and paint with those since it will actually melt when you burn it.
You can add hearts to the candles, xo, or any other design that aligns with Valentine’s Day.
If you want to display these at your party but don’t have enough time to paint them yourself, go on Etsy and look for painted Valentine’s candles. There are tons to choose from.
21. SERVE SOME PUNCH
After dancing your heart out and partying like crazy, you’ll want something that’ll cool you down. Which is why you need a punch station.
You can take a look at this recipe for a tasty and easy Valentine’s party punch. Instead of pouring the punch into a large bowl, you can transfer it to a drink dispenser.
I find this a lot better because all you have to do is press a button for the drink to pour out and it’ll stop any dirt from getting in.
22. VALENTINE’S BAR CART
Want to add more decorations to your party? Use a bar cart to achieve the look you’re going for.
Add a bunch of Valentine’s decorations like garlands, cute glassware, adorable love quotes, and candles. You can also use it to serve some drinks.
And if you need to move it outdoors or to another room, you can do so without hassle.
23. VALENTINE’S TOSS
Every party needs a fun game to entertain the guests. This Valentine’s toss is great for both adults and children. Get a cardboard display and make hearts like above.
You’ll want to cut holes in each one and write down numbers for the points. Add some stickers and cute decorations to finish the look.
The guests will need to throw bean bags and make it through the hole to gain the shown amount of points. Whoever has accumulated the most wins a prize at the end.
